Ordering and payment
On supply only orders, the full amount has to be paid in full at the time of the order
On supply and glaze (Fit) we take a 50% deposit at the order is place, with the balance in full paid immediately on completion
Please note: All glass products and other products supplied by Melton Glass Limited are bespoke (made to order). Therefore, they are non-returnable and non-refundable and must be paid for in full. Any faulty products (Upon collection/completion of work) will be repaired or replaced. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Glass quality: Due to the nature of glass; we use the guidelines for acceptability, as set out by the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF) Orders are accepted on this provision. You can view the guidelines online on the Glass & Glazing Federation website.
All delivery dates/lead times and completion dated are given in good faith and not guaranteed or contractually binding.
All warranties are those provided by the manufacturers of the product and come into effect, once paid for in full.(Back dated to date fitted)
In cases where we provide a chargeable survey fee, the amount is purely to cover our time, fuel and advice. It is not an obligation on our part to engage in carrying out the work
We notify customers, immediately their orders are ready for collection. We will store orders for 5 days, thereafter; we accept no responsibility/liability for loss or damage. If not collected after 3 weeks, we reserve the right to dispose of items, with no liability.
We accept no liability for loss, damage or injury caused by the handling and transportation of glass products
Glass is not guaranteed in the event of it breaking: Sealed units supplied and fitted by Melton Glass, carry a 5 year “Manufacturers’” warranty. Mechanical parts carry a 1 year manufacturers’ warranty, or as otherwise stated by the “Manufacturer”
Timber windows and externally security beaded Upvc windows:
We do not allow for or include for new beading in our prices, unless specifically requested to supply and fit new beading at the time of enquiry. Ordinarily, the existing beading will go back. In situations where it transpires the bead has perished (Not always detected on the survey) you will be made aware and the additional cost; if any will be noted to you for approval, ahead of replacing. Externally glazed; security beaded Upvc windows are no longer available. Due to their age, they become brittle. Whilst we take extreme care, potentially, the bead could break. We cannot accept responsibility or liability in such “Rare” cases!
We may retain your personal details on file either in hard copy form or electronically etc, in order to further assist with your enquiry or to recover supply details in the event of a warranty claim. However we never use your details for marketing purposes and will never pass on your data to a third party; unless we do so in order to fulfil your specific enquiry.
If we receive payment from you by way of “Card”; we “Never retain” any payment details.
If you do not want your personal information held on file, please notify us immediately. However removal from our system may hinder us in the future. E.g. discovering a quoted price or details of an enquiry made by you etc.
Unless we hear to the contrary we will assume you are happy for us to retain your data.
